Our blessing will be filled to overflowing when we realize that our tithes are an obligation requested by God. Then we will not be able to contain those blessings when we give from our heart. over and beyond that amount, which is required by us to Him. Don't think so? Just try it. This giving is considered your "First Fruits". It will be pressed down, shaken together and running over. if you give willingly. Our churches require the money necessary to work the ministries needed to reach your families and friends. God laid out this plan for the church to succeed. Let make that happen!!
I feel like if Jesus didn't want us to give, He would not have told us to in His Word. It is an honor for me to give to HIm. Not only of my finances, but my time and my gifts (I am still trying to find what they are). I truly want to give Him my all. He doesn't need our money, but it is a matter of faith. For some of us, it is a sacrifice and a test of our faith to give Him even 10%, but He always blesses the giver. I, know that I have always been blessed and not always with money, but with my health. I thank Jesus every day that I am able to give back to HIm what He has given to me.

Tithing is a blessing to me,it isn't a chore. God has blessed our family with jobs that we could not have and all he ask for is 10%. I see it as if I am opening a window for the blessings to pour upon us. I enjoy giving tithes; it's our ways of saying "THANK YOU" to God for the jobs we have to be able to tithe. We are thankful for what he has given us and for the Blessing we are going to receive later. I don't give from the I HAVE TO, I give because I want too. I Love the Lord with all my Heart, Soul, Life. My first and last breath is for him and spreading of his word to others that don't know him as we do. I can never get enough of knowledge from his Word.
wow you know this is a conversation topic that gets brought up to me on a regular basis. and it never ceases to amaze me. i mean goodness! God doesn't require much of us. he tells us to give our ten percent.. woooo.. i mean come on folks.. that does mean before taxes.. before insurance.. and before 401k..! like the others who have commented here i am a firm believer that everyone should tithe. sometimes one should go above and beyond tithing. if you don't think God knows your heart on this test Him. he will show you. His word tells us that He will show us. i thank God that i have an income to tithe on. if not for his grace i would be sitting around in a wheelchair wishing i could make money. i declare that everyone should proudly tithe from the heart not the responsibility.
